Life—Live it…Photograph it…Scrapbook it…

Isn’t that just what we do as photographers and curators of the family memories?

Hello everyone.  I’m Cheryl McCain and I’m so thrilled to be guest blogging here today.  I feel like the baby bird that finally becomes brave enough to leave the comfort of its nest and begins to fly.

You’ll find me blogging at Scrap Your Life/ My Journal among other places, which brings me to what I want to share with you today….my Passion for recording my journey and my family’s journey through life with photography and stories....the scrapbooking.  And I think my Blog’s name says it all. It’s exactly what I do and help YOU do…..Scrap Your Life.

I’m driven to capture the photographs and record the memories for my children, grandchildren, and future generations, so they’ll know WHO they are and WHERE they come from. 

I have an on-going, free, self-paced class at Scrap Your Life Community called “My Life…Before I Was Your Mother”.  I have completed a 20 page album thus far for my children.  The Community is where I can help others get their own lives documented through photos and stories.

And then another door opened for me when I took Kim’s “Art of Texture” class and learned to create textures of my own.  I LOVE photographing flowers, so I began to combine the photos, texture and the digital designer in me to create prints and I’ve recently begun designing floral albums for pro photographers from my Photography site.

From the Art of Texture Class, to Beyond Layers, to Behind The Scenes, where I’ve taken a look at a number of blogs and realized I CAN dream big with my various sites, and  If I don’t try, I’ll never know if I can fly.
